Description
DRBC AgarDRBC Agar DRBC Agar, based on the original formulation by King, Hocking, and Pitt, is used for the enumeration of viable yeasts and molds in beer and other products with high water activity. The antifungal agent Dichloran restricts growth of mucoraceous fungi and reduces colony size of other spreading fungi. Rose Bengal and Chloramphenicol serve as selective agents against bacteria, contributing the former to reduce colony size of fast growing molds.

Enzymatic Digest of Animal Tissue and Peptone supply nitrogenous sources, while Glucose is the fermentable carbohydrate. Agar is the gelifying agent. There is a choice of 3 sizes - 500g, 2kg, and 10kg.
PREPARATION: Mix 31.6 grams of the medium in one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring until boiling to dissolve completely. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. Take caution not to expose the medium to light.

Enables the person to move around while wearing.
These silicon socks look a bit odd at first glance but they work great and best of all, any lotions and oily creams are contained on the inside so you can walk around. They are very soft. I haven't had them long so I can't comment on durability, but they are not made of lightweight material.

Does the job but dangerous to walk with!
Does the job but dangerous to walk with: foot is sliding inside the sock if the foot was treated with cream or lotion prior. It is uncomfortable to sleep with but a necessary hurdle to heal your heels!
