The year is 2026, the rollercoaster ride that was Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine has long since been shut down and covered in tarpaulin to make way for a 21st century theme park of bland pop.

Formed in 1987 by Fruitbat and Jim Bob, Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine burst onto the scene with their signature style of punk-pop infused with samples, drum machines, and social commentary. Join Jim Bob and Fruitbat, as they take a retrospective look back at the complete Carter U.S.M. singles, from 1988 to 1997. First released in 1995, 'Straw Donkey' is an essential introduction to Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine, featuring the U.K. Top 20 singles 'The Only Living Boy In New Cross', 'After The Watershed (Early Learning The Hard Way)', 'Rubbish', and 'Lean On Me I Won't Fall Over', along with classics such as 'Sheriff Fatman', 'Anytime Anyplace Anywhere' and 'Bloodsport For All'. This newly expanded edition of 'Straw Donkey' also gathers up the band's promotional singles for the first time: 'Road Rage', 'Stuff The Jubilee! (Extra Special Radio Only Version)', 'Airplane Food', 'And God Created Brixton', and 'The Undertaker And The Hippy Protest Singer'. Newly remastered by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering and pressed on two 140g black vinyl, housed in a gatefold featuring an obi-strip and new track-by-track sleeve notes by Jim Bob and Fruitbat.

Great weird horror
Format: Kindle
The Department of Truth: The End of the World is the first trade volume of this series, collecting issues 1-5. I don’t want to get into spoilers, but I enjoyed seeing a world building element I was familiar with in fantasy be applied to conspiracy theories. I also loved the art. It’s really stunning! I almost want to buy a print edition in addition to my Kindle/ComiXology edition because it’s so beautiful. I found the plot and concept compelling and can’t wait to read volume 2.

meh...
Format: Paperback
collecting the entire universe, so obviously i picked this up. i absolutely LOVE the stuff written by Ryan Parrott, but it seems like the some of the side stories were just thrown into the universe for the sake of 'diversity'. identity politics is injected into BOTH of the books in this series (that i have read so far... im somewhere in the middle of year two) that were written by Melissa Flores, for no reason except projection, propaganda and forced diversity quotas. the book isnt even an extreme offender or anything, but the 'community' has caused so many problems, in ever facet of society that they have attached themselves to, that i (and so many others) now see any of it as huge red flag... and that is sad, because i was raised to have the EXACT opposite viewpoint, and i did, for well over 30 years (just turned 40).
