Reproduction of Fashion Week Paris Halftone V by Sue Schlabach

Sue Schlabach — "Fashion Week Paris Halftone V" is a masterful synthesis of mid-20th-century graphic design and contemporary pop art sensibilities, demonstrating a profound engagement with the history of fashion illustration. The work's composition, characterized by an asymmetric balance of stylized figures, text, and pattern, recalls the influential collage techniques of artists like Richard Hamilton and the illustrative work of early 20th-century fashion magazines such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Schlabach's use of a halftone printing technique, a hallmark of commercial graphic design, is not merely a stylistic choice but a deliberate nod to the reproducible nature of fashion media, bridging the gap between fine art and popular culture. The color palette, dominated by a neutral cream and stark black, is a sophisticated departure from the vibrant palettes often associated with pop art, creating a mood of refined elegance and quiet confidence. This deliberate restraint in color allows the intricate line work and the interplay of positive and negative space to become the primary focus, emphasizing the graphic quality of the forms. The composition, with its layered figures and text, creates a visual narrative of fashion as a dynamic, ever-evolving art form, where the individual subject is part of a larger cultural tapestry. Schlabach's work is significant for its ability to capture the essence of a specific moment in fashion history—Parisian high fashion in the 1950s and 60s—while simultaneously transcending its origins to become a timeless piece of graphic art. The interplay between the classic silhouettes and the modern, almost digital, aesthetic of the halftone grid speaks to the enduring nature of design principles and the cyclical nature of style, positioning the artwork as both a tribute to the past and a statement about the future of visual culture.

Works great, keeps the light out of my eyes and easy to put together
Size: 1 Panel, Size: 1 Panel
I got this room divider in and it works great. It’s really easy to put together you don’t even need tools. I really like that it’s not see through, it’s not a black out curtain but it keeps light out pretty good. I absolutely hate my bedroom layout there’s no bathroom door. My girlfriend and I have different work schedules so I’m trying to sleep while she’s getting ready for work and the light shines right in my eyes. This divider keeps the light out of my eyes and that’s exactly what I was hunting for. I also like that you can adjust the length. I took one of the bars out to make it a little shorter and it worked great. I would recommend this room divider.

A Versatile & Stylish Solution for Instant Privacy and Space Definition
Color: Black
This AKTOP Room Divider is an absolute game-changer for creating flexible spaces in my open-plan apartment. The 71"x71" single panel is substantial, providing excellent visual privacy without making an area feel completely closed off. The sleek, minimalist black frame looks modern and professional, easily blending into my home office and living area. I've used it to section off a dedicated workspace, creating a psychological barrier from household distractions, and it works equally well as a stylish backdrop for video calls. What I love most is its freestanding and portable design. It requires no tools, drilling, or installation—I simply unfold it and place it wherever I need a temporary wall. It feels remarkably stable and well-made, with a sturdy metal frame and durable fabric that doesn't sag. The size is perfect for most applications. Whether you need to divide a dorm room, create a private nook in a studio, or set up a temporary partition in an office, this screen delivers fantastic functionality and style with zero commitment. It's a brilliantly simple and effective product.

Turning One Big Room into Two
Color: Black
My apartment is basically one big open space, so my living room, dining table, and “office” used to all blend together. After I got this screen, the whole layout finally makes sense. I set it up in the middle and now I have a clear work side and a chill side, and my background for video calls looks way more professional. This divider is a fixed style, so when you set it down it forms a nice straight line. Visually it really feels like a light, mini wall, which is perfect for breaking up a large area. It’s tall and long enough that it actually blocks what you want to hide, so you get real privacy, not just a decorative panel. The woven texture looks nice up close and doesn’t feel cheap, and the color is easy to match with other furniture. It’s not overly heavy either and I can slide it to a new spot by myself when I want to change the room layout. Most days I pull it out as a clean background for meetings and classes, and when I don’t need it as a divider I just move it against the wall and it still looks good there. If you have a big open room or a rental and want to create separate zones without doing any construction, this screen is a simple, effective solution. I’m already recommending it to friends who need more privacy in their space.

AKTOP Room Divider, Freestanding
Color: Black
AKTOP Room Divider, Freestanding ...all parts fit well and easy to assemble and looks great. Using it for church & move back & forth weekly. Screws come out so I reinforced legs. Better if you don't move around a lot or you will need to reinforce legs. Priced well.
