It's also finished using vintage french buckles from the 1930s. The chain-like construction allows for a significant amount of stretch, which allows you the security of a tightly cinched belt and the comfort and fluidity of a more loosely buckled one. 

This version is made with a soft bull hide with a tumbled appearance. Compared to the vachetta, this bull leather is more elastic from the start, softer, and will patina over time less dramatically, retaining its original color.

I am a 34 waist and I can use a L or XL. If you are in between sizes, I recommend sizing up for vachetta and down for the more elastic bull leather version.
