A riser is the area in between the steps. The vertical component of a step which, along with the stringers, supports the treads. Stain grade is any type of milled wood suitable for staining, it has been planed and sanded in preparation for finishing. Can be also used as stair cap.

  • Can be finished to match stair treads or interior decor 
  • Available lengths: 48" and 96"
  • Thickness: 3/4" - Height: 7-1/4"

Wood risers are already naturally strong. Such durability will be reliable even on high duties as well. It means you do not need replacement very soon. The height can be reduced by edging on a table saw to a smaller width if needed. (2 stars) Update (07/23/2025): The replacements have arrived! My dog loves the new plushie sloth and so far it is in tact. It doesn't have stuffing in the body as far as I can tell, so little to no clean up hopefully. They also sent her a spiked squeaky ball and she's getting used to it. This company has some of the best customer service and support that I've experienced. (5 stars)
