DESCRIPTION: For many, wool coats signal grey skies and cold winds—but for vintage lovers, they mark the most stylish season of the year. There’s nothing like wrapping up in a coat that feels like a cozy embrace while layering luxurious fall and winter textures.
This handsome mid-century overcoat is all you need to stay warm without sacrificing style. Crafted from high-quality wool in a rich grey-and-brown herringbone tweed, it features a fully lined interior and a substantial heavyweight drape for ultimate comfort and sophistication. A timeless piece that pairs effortlessly with tailored looks or layered casual ensembles.
HISTORY: Piccadilly of London, despite its British name, often manufactured garments in Canada, as shown by the “MADE IN / FABRIQUÉ AU CANADA” label. This strategy balanced lower production costs with a British-inspired identity. The featured jacket, from the 1960s–70s, uses herringbone or tweed wool—hallmarks of mid-century outerwear known for durability, warmth, and timeless style. Its classic pattern and quality materials reflect enduring fashion trends of the era.
CIRCA: 1960s - 1970s
CONDITION: It is in overall excellent gently worn condition.
