Constructed using a screwed design, the Classic Series Pig Sticker features a natural maple burl wood handle, highly polished brass bolster and a premium quality 5cr15 stainless steel blade that holds an edge pig after pig. The blade is hollow ground with a blood groove and brushed finish.
5cr15 alloy was selected for the blade due to its specific chemical make up. With a similar hardness to 440a but with less chromium and carbon. Unlike other common stainless steels, 5cr15 alloy has a vanadium added to increase tensile strength and impact strength. These are easily sharpened in the field. These characteristics have been selected for hunters demands worldwide, and the designs have proven successful in New Zealand.
All Classic Series also come with a durable full grain leather sheath and a lifetime warranty.
