The common cuttlefish is an extraordinary creature known for its ability to change skin color and texture in an instant. This cephalopod can blend into its surroundings so effectively, it's practically invisible to both predators and prey. 

Cuttlefish possess a unique internal shell called the cuttlebone, which is porous and provides buoyancy. This structure allows them to control their position in the water column with incredible precision. They are also highly intelligent; cuttlefish have one of the largest brain-to-body size ratios of all invertebrates, giving them a remarkable ability to learn and remember, which they utilize to hunt and evade predators in the underwater world they inhabit.
