Straight from our friends at Gibson, we've got this Gibson Limited Edition SG Standard in a sleek ebony finish. This model, a limited release SG with a couple of unique appointments you won't find many other places, stakes its claim as a modern model with loads of retro-minded specifications. Back in black? Just about.

As part of a limited run straight from Gibson USA, this SG Standard assembles with a smorgasbord of classy Gibson specs to really rise above your usual SGs. This all kicks off with a mahogany solidbody assuming the iconic devil-horned SG shape. The body, wrapped in a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, exhibits a deep sheen and slickness to stare endlessly into. As is SG tradition, the mahogany solidbody reaches out with a mahogany neck. This particular American-made SG follows pretty closely in your traditional SG footsteps with a Gibson SlimTaper neck profile that speeds up playing considerably. Alongside this SlimTaper neck is a rosewood fingerboard lined with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays. Enabling fluid fretting at every position, this board is a dream.

For its voice, this limited American-made SG loads in two Gibson T-Type humbucking pickups. Summoning that all-important humbucking warmth and bite, these pickups break the mold as they are shaped through controls featuring hand-wired Orange Drop capacitors. It's here that we start seeing a number of this guitar's closer appointments with, first, a reliable GraphTech nut and Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuning machines toward the headstock. These two pieces are coupled with le pièce de résistance of this guitar – its Maestro Vibrola tailpiece. This bold, gold vibrato tailpiece matches up with a sturdy ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge that assists in ensuring accuracy in intonation even when deep vibrato bends drop in. Additionally, Gibson black witch hat knobs with gold inserts appear for that added visual flourish.

This limited Gibson USA SG Standard travels with an included Gibson hardshell case and accessory kit.

As a truly timeless testament to Gibson's artistic eye, this limited SG has it all and then some.

Easy to follow and very thorough.

I went from start to finish on this book and feel more than comfortable with the basics of this platform. If I can do it, so can journalists.

Bugs Within Code
Format: Paperback
The blueprint code where we change the material of the character skeletal mesh has a serious game breaking bug. When the player picks up just ONE of the spheres, the game exits after three seconds despite the fact that there are still two remaining. I followed the code to the letter, even going out of my way to using the exact same engine version as in the book. There are no hints nor tips within the book that offers solutions should any problems arise. Therefore, one would expect the code to be flawless and bug free. At this point, one would be better off seeking free tutorials from elsewhere. The book does not go in depth with anything considered 'advanced' (interactive doors). Very disappointing considering how much one pays for the book.

A Must Have For The Beginner
Format: Kindle
So I've had an the opportunity to spend time with this book and I have to say that I'm very satisfied. Normally when you're reading tech books that claim to be for beginners they assume that you know things and skips steps, but this book doesn't do that. I went from being super intimidated about programming and back end development, but this book eases your mind and makes you feel like you can do anything. And after reading it you start looking at programming in a completely different way. Pros: * Easy to comprehend * Well laid out * The tone of the author is very pleasant and not boring at all * Encourages you to experiment with what you've learned and encourages you to go out explore even further * He makes you feel smart * He makes you feel like you actually have a shot at being a paid developer Cons: * There were a few typos and some missing syntax in a few of the coding examples, but even with that being the case this book is still awesome Once I land a gig here in the next three months it'll be thanks to this book and this amazing author. Thanks =)

A good book for beginners
Format: Paperback
Well I spent about 3 hours reviewing this book last night and I actually think I understood most of it. I still have a long way to go. And I’m not ready to call myself a software engineer any time soon. I think I would need to take about 3 college courses in software engineering and this book would be the first textbook. I would recommend that the index be expanded. I would recommend a book on Python to go with this book.
